Our story began more than 30 years ago beneath the timeless beauty of the Giza Pyramids, where a Kiwi and an Egyptian met and formed an instant connection. Over the years, life took us between New Zealand and Egypt, two places that shaped our family, our creativity, and our way of seeing the world.
As artists, we always dreamed of creating a space that felt more than just a gallery — a place where people could slow down, connect, and experience the warmth of Egyptian culture. Eventually, we followed our hearts back home to Egypt, settling in the historic village of Saqqara near the Step Pyramid of Djoser.
Our gallery celebrates authentic handmade papyrus art created by talented local artists, while also reflecting the Kiwi influence that has become part of our story. But for us, art is only part of the experience. We invite you to sit with us, enjoy a chai, share stories, and experience genuine Egyptian hospitality in a relaxed and welcoming space.
Whether you leave with a piece of papyrus or simply a memorable conversation, we hope you leave feeling connected to the culture, history, and spirit of Egypt that inspires everything we do.
